Interruption of service – update 11th January 2014

Dear All,

 

Today, after assessing the damage on one of the main relays on the mountain, dishes have been replaced and service has been restored in most parts of the network. Service may not be optimal as yet but we ask for your patience while we are working our way through the network issues.

 

Priority lies with getting the main infrastructure back online. Thereafter we will tackle the individual connectivity problems.

 

It was a difficult operation in very difficult weather conditions and I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Jim, who, as a volunteer for Locheilnet, generously gives up his family time, time and time again, to make sure that you, our valued customers, get up and running within the shortest possible time.

 

Weather and internet permitting, we will give you a more detailed update tomorrow, Monday 12th.
